Ignition, SNK to co-publish Metal Slug 7 in North America

Mercury Meltdown publisher Ignition Entertainment has announced that the company has inked a deal with SNK Playmore to co-publish titles in North America, the first of which will be Metal Slug 7 for the DS.

The pair are not exactly strangers, having been cozy together for quite some time on the European side of the pond. Beyond Metal Slug 7, which represents the retro shooter's first outing on Nintendo's handheld, no other titles have been announced, though considering SNK's pedigree we expect the fruits of this union, whatever they are, to be decidedly 2D.

 Geez, with Contra 4, and so many RPGs, the DS is getting quite a good selection of hardcore games.

The DS is a retro gamer's gift from God. I applaud yet another great addition to the DS line-up of awesomeness. Now let's outsource King of Fighters to Treasure for the DS and have them work some of that Bleach magic into it.

Followed by XBLA, VC, and then PSN. It's interesting how this gen is supposed to be about the future (in either graphics or gameplay), but so much of the fun turns out to have been always there.

 I'd rather not have that, if you want bleach play bleach king of fighters isn't bleach, they should outsource it to artoon, after the bang up job they did porting kof2k to the gba they should be able to work wonders with the large capacity and better hardware of the ds, kof 98 ultimate would be nice.

anyway MS7 has its work cut out for it going up against gold like Contra 4

Oh well I want it so soon as possible I always love those MS games :).
