FE:3H and Astral chain paid dust while Death Stranding and control are the most nominated game yet didnt get great fan nor critic reviews. I was expecting that from DS since the game was pushed so hard at the GA in the past year. Don't think they will give it to him but he will for sure get Best direction cause of the whole situation.

I know y'all say stuff like "awards dont mean shit" and yada yada but man seeing these nominees made me feel this was a slow year for gaming.

Thank goodness Smash is nominated. I was worried that December releases aren't included what with the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 snub in last year's Best RPG category.

Oh, I see people are already working hard to poison the well if Death Stranding wins by blaming it on Keighley being biased. Of course, that's pretty silly, since there are like 50 people voting, but that's what makes such arguments fun to watch.

Regardless, it's a relatively down year, as to be expected this late in the generation. None of those games would win most years. Some years, none of those games would likely finish above third, and a couple of them probably wouldn't get nominated. Not that it really matters, of course, as people make a far bigger deal out of this than it deserves.

I’m shocked that Dorito Pope’s show nominated Death Stranding for every possible category lol.

I really need to play Control. Maybe I’ll get it on a cheap BF sale.
