Forgot to check Luigi's Mansion again...

Damn, JFO is looking really great with that monstrous sales. Perhaps it may have a shot at taking the number one spot in December NPD.  Benji also tweets something similar about it.

MK8 and Smash Bros also may have a shot at placing in the top 10.

My prediction for the NPD December's top 10

1.Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
2.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019
3.Pokémon Sword
4.Madden NFL 20
5.Mario Kart 8
6.Luigi’s Mansion 3
7.NBA 2K20
8.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
9.Pokemon Shield
10.
Just Dance 2020

Actual result

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019
  2. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  3. Madden NFL 20
  4. NBA 2K20
  5. Luigi’s Mansion 3*
  6. Pokemon Sword*
  7. Mario Kart 8*
  8. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate*
  9. Pokemon Shield*
  10. Minecraft#

Only Smash Bros Ultimate and Pokemon Shield are in the correct placement lol.

Wow, Mario Kart is still consistently #1. Even with Pokemon being a recent release, Mario Kart sells about the same (or better). Not bad for a Wii U port.

wow, what a fantastic thread, cant believe i only just found this. thank you so much @Mr_Destiny for these insights!

TMS seems to just have an ok launch, compared to its great performance in places like france. DBZ also did less than i expected, but maybe most of its sales were digital.

TMS Bomba! Honestly, they should've released Mario 3D World instead of niche game in January.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get anything the last 2 weeks.
