It's really amazing how well this game is doing on both platforms. It's sitting at ~5.6 million on 360 and ~2.9 million on PS3.
When will it stop selling? How much will it sell in its lifetime?

Till everyone realizes it'll beat Wii Fit :)
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
Til Call of Duty 5 cuts part 4's legs off. Slow down on the sequels, Activision!
It's already easily the best selling FPS of all time. It's been the #1 selling game on Steam almost every week since its launch. Even beating Valve's own games. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if retail and Steam PC sales combined were near if not past the PS3 version.

It's not that I don't agree with that, but after you predicted GTAIV would sell over 20 million units I can't take anything you post about sales seriously anymor.

His GTA4 prediction isn't impossible, just highly unlikely.
And I don't even get why he needed to mention Wii fit.

Technically nothing John Lucas has ever predicted is "impossible," but that doesn't make it reasonable.
Anyway, back on topic, great to see Call of Duty 4 do so well. It deserves it. I'd really love to see Infinity Ward make a Wii FPS some day. I think they could nail the controls.

What kind of bizzarro world do you live in where that isn't a huge possibility? San Andreas sold well over 20m, and each sequel in the series has been bigger than the last.
That's good about COD4 being the best selling FPS ever. It's definately my favourite game in the genre :)
I think it will end up at around 8 million on 360, and maybe 4 on the ps3.

Way too many mods in one place! I'm just going to stand over here, and act casual......so nervous.

I'm living in a world where the PS3 and 360 have nowhere near the userbase that the PS2 did when San Andreas launched, and a world where the PS3 and 360 failed to appeal to the casual audience that made up the majority of GTA's sales. It will sell around 12 million at most. Maybe 15 million with PC.
