When a team puts 34 on you, with only 160 pass yards, in 2019... you have problems.
Who do you believe will have a stronger defense in 2020? | |||
Patriots | 2 | 66.67% | |
Steelers | 1 | 33.33% | |

RolStoppable said: A Packers classic on TNF. The defense had a good-for-nothing day with no sacks, turnovers and hardly any stops; five touchdowns conceded. The offense showed up, but was visibly hampered by Williams' injury on the first drive, leaving only Jones as RB who was largely ineffective on the night, so Rodgers ended up being the leading rusher on the team. The Packers abandoned the ground game in the second half and that was fine up until Adams' injury which happened right before a goal to go situation. Four pass attempts from the 1-yard-line led to nothing; there was no rush attempt because Jones had had multiple for-loss runs earlier in the game. Adams being out limited the efficiency of the Packers offense (Adams set a career high with 180 yards receiving), but they still marched down the field another time. A tipped ball ended in a game-ending interception in the endzone. Rodgers had over 50 pass attempts and threw for over 400 yards, but a no-show defense and some bad luck resulted in a 34-27 loss. Classic Packers football in the Aaron Rodgers era. Now it's up to the coaching staff to get the team to play a complete game where both the offense and defense perform well, because that hasn't been the case in any game this season. The record is still fine at 3-1, but this was a winnable game and the loss may or may not hurt down the line. |
The eagles do look pretty good in all honesty and the games that they lost were by just a few points. I was hoping for packers to win so we could be 2 games ahead of them.
Starting the week 0-1, great start.

Guys. I'm having a really difficult time entering this thread and an even harder time replying to users. I mean it's been years since I've regularly posted on VGC but is it like this for anyone else? It's consistently unstable. It's gotten to the point where I can only somewhat access here by using a VPN.

Anyways I forgot what I was initially gonna say. I will say that despite the super obvious GB flaws, The game was genuinely exciting to me.
@BOW
I hear ya. There's only like 3 teams that are consistently and convincingly winning. Except for LAR's game, It might as well be a toss up for any other games. I mean shit, it wouldn't be so surprising if the Lion's beat a really good KC team. Even NE losing to the Bill's wouldn't be too shocking. Heck I can even see Miami Knocking Philip Rivers on his ass again. I believe he never won as a Charger in Miami.
All the top voters in week 4 have my respect because this week is gonna cause a shift in our overall predictions scores.

Couldn't run the ball, couldn't stop the run. Punt team sucked too.

No. They needed that loss now. I'm not a Packers fan at the slightest but the loss came at the perfect time for them to make adjustments to snap them out of their delusion that they were without flaws. When Rodgers is leading in rushing yards, you have an issue. I'll need to go check the stats on Jones but I think he had like 15 total yards for 20 carries. If anything, I'm surprised they were 3-0 and that their game against the eagles was that close... I'm woke to how broken GB is now.

The lions ARE for real!
The browns touchdown drive was actually solid for once. Maybe this is where they wake up?

The Ravens have an incredible rush game. It really does remind me of how they played 10-12 years ago. But man... their QB is just awful. Jackson's stats are just awful. Yeah baker has an INT but he has over 200 yards passing at half.
Mariota has 3 touchdowns by half. Just incredible!
EDIT* I think I jinxed Raven's rush. After having a drive of just shoving the rush down the field and down the Browns throats, they eventually coughed up the ball at Browns 25 yard line. Their first turnover this season. Their passing game is off and now they are fumbling on rush. If I'm a Raven fan, now's the time to worry.
