There are 2 parts to this game it opens with battle, then has proper intro about 25 - 30 mins later.

Purely amazing.

i can not believe this hasn't been said yet. the DK rap at the beginning of DK64 is easily the best video game opening ever. theres no competition for that

My two favorite opening themes: 1) Final Fantasy VI - With Terra and the two Magiteck soldiers advancing on Narche. (I'll always love you, Uematsu) 2) Wild Arms - Great acoustic guitar with an orchestra. I like the Western style. Played the intro repeatedly and whistled along with it.
