Would love a ghibli zelda movie in cell shading

Likewise, but should know that style doesn't do big box office numbers. -_-

Knows that repeating the success of the Mario Movie with Zelda or Metroid will require much more finesse than what Illumination brought to the table this time around.

Personally I think Nintendo needs to follow up this success with more Mario, or perhaps a Donkey Kong title before they try something as ambitious as a Zelda or a Metroid.

I think an Animal Crossing movie also has great potential and for that one Illumination would be perfect.

Should rethink that last sentence, because Animal Crossing isn't quite ridiculous enough for Illumination's style. It's not like the games have had moments like Ankha hinting that she saw the infamous dance video of herself (You know the one.), or Tom Nook frantically trying to hide from the IRS.

Thinks Illumination is too absurd for an Animal Crossing movie. Personally I’ve always loved the Illumination films, so I was taken aback when people expressed concerns about the Mario movie being made by them.

I think I’m missing some sarcasm, but I do think Animal Crossing is very ridiculous and that the style would fit perfectly.

Should give examples of Illumination-esque outlandishness in Animal Crossing, because all I can think of is the Gyroids flying away like little rocket ships.

Doesn’t understand my point of view that all of Animal Crossing is ridiculous. Have you ever hear the villagers fight each other? It’s hilarious. Pavé (the character that dances during Festivale) is straight up ridiculous. How about Resetti and the way he gets mad at you if you reset your game.

The idea that you as a young kid have to be put in debt and hustle hustle hustle for bells is ridiculous while everyone else just gets to sit on their behinds.

Obviously there’s also a lot of endearing moments as well.

Again, I think we just have a different view of Illumination as a whole. I loved movies like The Lorax and Despicable Me.

Doesn't know that I liked Illumination's version of The Lorax, but not that it was used to market a car. -_-

Informed me that The Lorax was used to market a car. That is certainly odd, considering the message of the movie. At least it could have been an electric car.
