Forums - Gaming - Did you go PS1 or N64?

N64, which I regretted in spite of the fun I had with the system because of the ludicrously good JRPG support the PS1 got. It made me go with the PS2 next gen (glad I made that choice rather than sticking with the GC). I have been loyal to Sony ever since.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

A PS1.

A freind of mine had a N64. I used to play Goldeneye and WWF Warzone at his house a lot. Great games.

Despite having a NES, my Dad picked me up a PS1 as a good grade gift when it came out because there wasn't really anything out for the NES (wasn't it only like Mario 64 and Zelda?). My best friend had a 64, but no PS1 so we hung out accordingly.

looks like its equal, or people owned both.

I owned a Nintendo64......it was a great system.

I owned (and still own) both.

PSN ID: krik

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M

both

first the N64 and then much later the PS1

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Since I already had a NES, SNES, and Gameboy and most importantly, Square went to PS, I went to PS. I am so glad I did as I liked the PS library much better (not to mention, the games were cheaper).

Both.

Perfered the PS1. Mostly because of the ports of SNES games i was never fortunate to own oddly enough.

N64 had a few good games, but back than i was nearly a full on RPG fan. Goldeneye and Mario Kart were only usefull with friends. Perfect Dark and it's bots were always fun though.

Still they were nothing compared to Tactics Ogre, front Mission 3, Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, Xenogears... etc.

I went N64
