Capcom still owns the rights to Dino Crisis and they've pretty much gone full on multiplat with all their games. So I expect to see this on PS4, PC, and XB1.

P.S. A storefront is not a platform.

Point being, if MS brought some sort of exclusivity they wont hide it behind one platform. aka as being locked to a console. Expect to play this on Xbox and PC.

This is a Capcom game so I don't expect this to be exclusive, just announced at E3 if true.

Also what determines what a storefront is? What exactly is a storefront and a platform to you? I consider a eco-system as a platform so if a storefront is behind an eco-system than id consider than a platform.

Quote: "a platform is any hardware or software used to host an application or service."
^ Exactly what I thought, Software like Steam can be considered as a Platform.

The XBO's install base really isn't worth it for any company to go full exclusive on it. Trust me, if XBox was in a better situation, MS wouldn't be porting all their games to PC.

Thank god for MS, If it was Nintendo, Sony or Epic, we know they will anti-consumer the game and lock it behind a platform.

Yes it is.

If this is true I will lose it!

Been wanting a new DC game after DC2. Lets hope it's not exclusive this time but Capcom is now smarter than that.

"In IT, a platform is any hardware or software used to host an application or service. An application platform, for example, consists of hardware, an operating system and coordinating programs that use the instruction set for a particular processor or microprocessor. In this case, the platform creates a foundation that ensures object code will execute successfully."

You're just cherry picking a snippet of a single definition instead of looking at the overall consensus. Or the rest of the definition for that matter. Software that is running on hardware can be a platform in the same sense that a wheel on a car is a car. But only when paired up with the rest of the working parts. Remove a wheel from a car, and you've just got a wheel. It's no longer a car by itself. Remove the software from the hardware of a platform and you've just got software. It's no longer a platform by itself.

That would make no difference. The industry is always about moving forward not backwards. Corps go where the money is. Even if the XB1 was the top selling platform, MS would be going down this route regardless. They wouldn't have designed the Windows UWP system otherwise. Your post just sounds premature. Its a business not a trophy league.

So what was Titanfall, Rise of the TB, and buying out some studios that make multiplatform games?

Are we talking years ago or now? Because I am talking about now. What timed exclusive has MS locked away, instead they have put more 1st party IPs on other platforms, games like Hellblade, Cuphead and Halo MCC just to name afew. Has Nintendo or Sony done that lately?

Cherry picking? More like simplifying it for you. Steam operates on a OS and requires Hardware to run. Which is what makes launchers like Steam a Platform. You cannot run it on your fridge, it requires technology that its programmed for. eg Windows/MacOS etc.

Steam, EGS, Win10 Store etc are platforms to me.

I'd love to shoot some dinos but it would be silly to think that it will be more than a generic action bore fest.

Buying mutiplatform studios with no direct connection to MS was less than a year ago. I suppose you could always add PUBG, that is not exactly that long ago either.

And Hellblade Switch is not published by them cause they had zero say on the matter.

It is not really about what Nintendo or Sony have done lately but rather that MS is not 'not doing it'.

What does buying studio's got to do with buying timed exclusives? Completey different topic. You can argue that with every platform maker.

It doesn't matter who publishes Hellblade, MS own Ninja Theory who will be earning money off the sales which MS now make a % of there profit. Yes thats correct, MS will be making money off Hellblade weather you like it or not. To say MS have no control on the decision is facepalm worthy. They own the studio who owns the IP. Are you going to argue that its not MSs decision to bring Halo to Steam next? come on haha. Especially when MS came out recently suggesting bringing GamePass and published titles to Switch.

So you are trying to avoid the question? Nice try, what has Nintendo or Sony brought to other platform's? MS see past the anti consumer business. Its why i praise them this gen. I dont need to buy an Xbox, but not because out of some childish spite, but because of convience.

I suggest you boycott these games if you dont like MS. Same goes with Cuphead etc.

Read this before you post a reply so you can see exactly how wrong you are when it comes to MS and there control of there games.
