Forums - Microsoft - Has anyone downloaded the new Halo 3 map pack?

If so, are you as disappointed in it as I am?

I like 'Black out', which is the remake of Lockout, but I thought that 'Guardian' was already the spiritual successor to Lockout.

I love Ghost Town the most, cause it's original.

And I never liked Sidewinder on the original Halo, so I don't like this one.  I feel like I just wasted 800 Microsoft Points.

Well, at least I got a free subscription to Bungie Pro.

Then why would you be a douchebag and download them, you even told me you weren't a couple of weeks ago. You and your bro are douchebags for buying them :D

Plus you know Bungie is going to make them free just like how they did the Legendary Pack a couple of months from now.

The only advantage the early adopters have is getting to know the maps, rather than the late adopters will be getting thrashed a lot when they buy them at a later date.

I know, but it was just calling me.

It really was calling me.

And I couldn't resist.

It doesn't matter.  It too late to matter now.

But I love how I got free Bungie Pro with it, I've uploaded tons of videos to my file share of my awesome sticks adn what not.

I will play Halo 3 tonight when I get off from these college classes. But I'm seriously not going to buy these maps as I stated in the above post.

And you got the Bungie Pro (extra file share features), that seems more than a gimmick to get people to buy the maps. Who knows I might then I might not. I will have to come over you guys house to try them out then.

For the simple fact you get Bungie Pro for free when getting the maps it may just be worth it! I might get the maps this weekend.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Apparently if you pre-order Ninja Gaiden 2 at Circuit City you get a code for the Halo 3 map pack when you order (in other words you get the map pack for free when you buy NG2).

Yeah, but then you have to go to Circuit City...

And you have to wait a week

And you don't get Bungie Pro for free.

Is the map pack going to be released for free like the old one? If so I'll just wait.

They have specifically and repeatedly said there are no plans for this.  But I would expect that it would have to be in order to get these maps into matchmaking eventually.

Played a bunch of objective games on Avalanche last night and it was pretty sweet.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?
