The best thing about the Zelda games to me has always been the music. Really so many videogames had amazing music.
I really miss Midi music actually back from the SNES. You can't tell me that the Chrono Trigger and FF6 soundtracks don't hold up to the soundtracks of today as far as just outright fun to listen to goes.
Or Gemfire. Though admittidly the Gemfire orchestrated versions are even better in most cases.

wow he can blow well >.> ......must practice alot . Nvm the song of storm my favorite 2nd to last vid.

A friend of mine has a real ocarina too and she is actually really good at some of the Zelda songs as well.
They're really neat little instruments.
I agree about midi music--the simplicity makes them incredibly catchy.I always loved the Ocean Palace theme from Chrono Trigger, and in Secret of Mana, the music that plays when you're on Flammie once the Mana Fortress has risen to the sky is awesome--it's crazy, intense, and just feels like "endgame."
Of course, I always loved Zelda music too. Good 'ol main theme. Glad to see that represented here. Song of Storms too.
It's interesting that he plays each song on a different Ocarina. Do you think if he played different songs on a specific one of those he'd accidentally travel three days into the past?
Edit: I mean, he obviously akready ran into this problem when he made it rain while playing Song of Storms.
My consoles and the fates they suffered:
Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)
A more detailed history appears on my profile.
Wow, that's pretty cool. I wish I could play that.........or any other instrument. I used to play the recorder, but that was ages ago.
It doesn't take much talent at all to do that. Any old shmuck that knows how to play an ocarina (which is a very easy instrument to learn) and can read sheet music would have a very simple time playing Zelda tunes.
Don't get me wrong - I appreciated it. But it's not "amazing" or anything at all.

I really enjoyed that. VGChartz, come for the forum debates, stay for the Nintendo fan music.

Well I think it's really cool. :)
