firstly I compare to other animes of the same genre (fighting + comedy + a bit drama + a tiny bit of love story) and target audience (8-14y), like Hunter x Hunter, Full Metal Alchemist, Hikaru no Go, Kekkaishi .. well I think I'd rate it even a bit lower than Bleach, Inuyasha and Shaman King, but I prefer Naruto to Yu Yu Hakusho, Kateikyoshi Hitman Reborn! and Air Gear

secondly compared to animes of partly the same genre, like the fighting part compared to Claymore, Berserk, Hajime no Ippo,..
the comedy part compared to School Rumble, Azumanga Daioh, Trigun, ...

and lastly I can't help but compare every anime (regardless the genre/audience) to those which I labeled great, superb or outstanding , like Cowboy Beebop, Elfen Lied, Juuni Kokki, Monster, Initial D, Akagi, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuustu, Honey & Clover, Death Note, Birth/Crest/Battleflag of the Stars, Mushishi, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Kami-sama wa Chuugakusei, the afore mentioned ones with the same genre/audience /partly the same main-genres , ...

I kid. ^_^
Though I find it odd that you haven't mentioned "Kimi ga nozomu Eien", "Full metal panic" and "Clannad".
Even "Fate/Stay Night"... and also "GTO".
Though most of the anime you mentioned that I found familiar are great.
I think highly of "Berserk" and "Hajime no ippo" so I plan on looking up Claymore in the near future.
Anyway, thanks, now I have a lot of anime to research about. ^_^

While this definitely looked nice, it's not as good as the screenshots published before hand which made it virtually identical to the anime. This still have some flaws now and then if you look closely, although it is still pretty good visually.



I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

There's a reason those episodes weren't in the manga.  They suck.  So that's nothing to brag about.
