I'm expecting a huge boost the first week from the holidays. In Japan week 1 was up 40% compared to last year. I think it will be even bigger in the US.

Its possible, Smash Bros still going strong and 2D Mario in the middle of the month could really give it the momentum needed but I still think that's a bit too high. We will find out tomorrow though.

Whoa, that's an excellent result from Switch. Up YoY even without New Years week, which is the largest week in January.
It also means VGChartz is undertracking Switch, assuming that it's not going to sell 98k in the US next week.

Yep based on this sites numbers for the first 3 weeks of the year, NSW is moderately undertracked, PS4 pretty close and XBO way overtracked.

Holy shit so is ps4 only down 4% with a week less tracking? Almost 2:1 over the xbox. I told you, Scorpio and gamepass isn't changing things. Games are what ultimately matter and it looks like the momentum gap between the two is getting larger.

Great month for Switch and really bad month for XBO. I wonder had the XBO any bundles or discounts in January?
