Last quarter we had NS shipments at 22.8m since then we've had not only the good performances from Black Friday and Cyber Monday but also the releases of both Smash and Pokemon LG which have had an impact on sales WW, VGC has NS sales at 24.9m currently (week ending December 1). Japan for 3 weeks has had 280k sales now in December with the final week numbers yet to be known while it's been speculated that a 2m month in the US may be a possibility leaving only Europe and ROW numbers as the main unknowns.

According to some preliminary NPD results for December, Switch potentially sold more than PS4 and X1 combined and sold well over 2 million systems in the United States. I remember people were telling me Smash Bros. was not a system seller like Mario or Zelda....guess it is haha.

Still speculation at this point but if true if the final week in Japan is at least 160k or so that would equal a 1m month over there, if Europe and ROW are doing just as well do people think the is a possibility of shipment total hitting the 30m milestone for the next quarter report?

I expect smth like 1M Japan, 2,2M USA, 1,5 EUR and idk about row, any idea?

Well it seems like Smash is sold out in Japan, so the numbers could be huge this week.

So yeah, probably more than 5 millions this month, since we now know how Smash actually is. So at least 30 millions, and probably 32 millions shipped by the end of Q3.

According to this site Switch did 4.35 million in the last 5 weeks of 2017. It would only need to be up ~17.5% in December to cross that. US & Japan are looking to be up by over 30% & 20% so unless Europe/RotW is massively down (they wont be) than it will easily cruise past 30 million.

Wait, you're talking shipments? Ya it would be nearly impossible not to reach that.

Switch last year in same period shipped 7.3m, this year how Switch is selling it will ship much more, at least 10m+ in some time period, so we actually talking around 33m shipped units at end of December, so Switch should be pass N64 LT numbers with December numbers.

Final 2018 week in Japan is now out and the numbers are 186k confirming 1m+ month in Japan, shipments at this point are no doubt above 30m so it's all about sell through now, if the 2m indicated from NPD is correct then a similar amount will be needed for a 30m sell through mile stone.
