Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Repair Help

Hi, I need to send in my Wii, Wii-Remote and Nunchuck. You used to be able to set up the repair online however the site has become a maze of troubleshooting help and insists on calling 1-800-255-3700 to get things hammered out.

My Wii stops reading Smash Bros. Brawl about ten minutes into playing it now. For a while the analog stick on my Nunchuck has lost much of its range of sensitivity and my Wii-Mote's motion sensing stopped working properly while on my third play through No More Heroes (something that didn't impede me while playing Brawl). So now I want to send all three in for repairs. Any advice, do I just call the number? I just registered my Wii online so that's been taken care of.

I also see scratches on the outer edge of my Brawl Disc (like sections of a larger circle), should I send that in for repairs too?

I´d just pick up that phone and call them...but hey man, that´s some fricking bad luck, your whole equipment defective....

Damn, that's fucked up.

If I were you, I'd just call the number. They'll ask what's wrong with it, and then they'll give you a price. What I do when one of my games aren't is dish wash it. Put some dish soap on it, then rinse it off. If that doesn't work, then just call the number or buy a new copy.

It might just be your system. Do you have a buddy that has Wii to test the Wii-mote on?

For the wiimote you can try and hitting the backside of it, above where the batteries sits. The motion sensing thing can get stuck inside of that area, and a good tap should dislodge it.

For the other stuff, just call them, and they will set up a return.

Sounds like a plan, the Wii-mote and Nunchuck just game out from heavy use, wear and tear so to speak.

The Wii itself has been used pretty heavily too so as an early launch model I'm impressed its made it this far considering the problems I've heard with earlier models.

I'll call the number and get things squared away.

I predict quick and quality service, I have only had to call Nintendo twice (and once was because I lost a Game Boy battery cover) and both times service was awesome.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Well they're sending me a pre-paid postage package to mail the Wii and game in and are sending me a new Nunchuck for free. Jesus god that's good services.
