Forums - Gaming Discussion - Games That Turned 20 This Year?

Well, since it's going to be 2019 soon, I thought we should look back at the best, or at least most notable, games that turned 20 years old this year (I've bolded my favorites).

-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

-Banjo-Kazooie

-Metal Gear Solid

-Half-Life

-Unreal

-1080 Snowboarding

-Radiant Silvergun

-F-Zero X

-Spyro the Dragon

-Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Those are the most notable ones off the top of my head. What are your favorites from 1998?

The most ambitious JRPG (story wise) Xenogears was also released in 1998. Ocarina of Time is by far my favorite and 1998 by far my favorite gaming year.

Some very solid games in this list.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

In addition to that list, on the PC there was Starcraft and Balder's Gate.

There was Final Fantasy Tactics, Rainbow Six, Pokemon Yellow in Japan and Red/Blue in the states, Sonic Adventure, and Dance Dance Revolution. And I'm sure I didn't exhaust the list.

Well, besides ones already mentioned, Descent: FreeSpace – The Great War, Caesar III, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Suikoden II, Baldur's Gate, Fallout 2 and Grim Fandango come to mind. Star Ocean 2 as well, though it was only released in Japan in 1998 so that might not count.

Tomb Raider III

Resident Evil 2

Space Station Silicon Valley
