Forums - Sales Discussion - PS4 Won October NPD (PS4 > NS > XBO)

my thoughts on october switch continues to lose momentum, even though it had the smash bundle which probably gave it a nice 30-40k boost, since it was sold out online long before it came out. ps4 is wow just a beast. november/december will very interesting, ps4 might hit 2 million, switch might break 1.1 million, but will probably see a decline in December as apposed to last year.

Last year had Mario Odyssey, that's definitely bigger than a limited bundle.

Switch will likely be well up for November and December compared to last year. With its two biggest games of the year releasing during these months. Last year November and December's biggest games were Skyrim and xenoblade, this year it's Pokemon and smash. Pokemon is already proving popular and is having very good word of mouth and smash is smash, it's going to shift consoles.

the bundle was 299$ so it was a much better deal the mario odyssey, it was basically a discounted switch, it really hard to know since we have no idea idea how much bundles were made.

Might break 1.1m for November or December?

I don't know if you've given exact predictions for the Holiday NPD but what are you expecting the Switch to sell in November and December NPD. Only one month till we find out Nov!

No it was $359, the price of Switch & Smash Bros seperately.

As Zorg says, the smash bundle was $359.99, It was pretty much a terrible deal. As you were paying full price and getting a download code that was completely useless until a month later. It was basically just a full price switch with a full price digital preorder. Had a custom design though.

Ya, only one switch bundle comes to mind that has the 299.99 and that is Black Friday MK8 Bundle.

Fortnite bundle as well but that's a free game anyway
