Of course it's succesful, it's only a demo after all. I don't think the downloaded version has been tracked either. It should reach 2 million which is quite an achievement.

Whats more sad is shovelware like wii play and sports selling what they do when a top game like Metroid struggled to break 1 million.
Success is best measured by profit gained from an endeavor in most buisness matters. Considering 99% of the code is straight from another game and cost them next to nothing to put together it is easily a success. So long as they don't produce a few million more copies of the game than needed there is very little chance this game with be anything but a success.

Wii Play is full of shovelware, but Wii Sports is a prety nice game, and Metroid never sell really well.
I sure it will reach 2 million if u count the number of people downloadin it.

Well can certainly pay for 75% or more of all GT5's budget.
I think GT 5:Prologue will get to over 3 million world wide sales. Its being bundled in with PS3's in some countries. GT 5 should sell over 10 million when its launched next year some time.

Prologue won't do 3 mil but GT5 will break 10 mil.
Mil. Sellers:
Wii: 25 titles 101.4 mil total avg 4 mil per title
PS3: 14 titles 28.6 mil total avg ~2 mil per title
360: 41 titles 89.8 mil total avg >2 mil per title

Given how much work has been said to go into each car and track along with how long it has been in development I very much doubt your claim. It will certainly offset the costs, but GT5 should have a ludicrously large budget. I would be saddened if they couldn't get more than twice money for their project than what GT5P could produce. That is mostly because the game is a guaranteed success and any kind of budgetary constraints would show a surprising lack of faith in the series.
