Best answer i can give is Sony and PS brand name and Gran Turismo.

PS would not enjoy such strength in Europe with out Gran Turismo, Europe loves their car games like NA loves shooters.

GT is for Sony in Europe what Halo is for MS in NA.

They just prefer the console with more "hardcore" games. that doesn't mean more casual games arn't good either

As others have said, the sales are not poor. The people in Italy and Spain have less money than those in UK or Germany and console gaming is not as big. Either way, Nintendo is still doing ok in those markets.

well, sincerely i don't know why, some years ago, Nintendo here was the kid's company, but now, it is difficult finding a Wii here at game for example. Don't know if the numbers are wrong, or simply nintendo don't ship enough units.

It is true that here is a sony land, and there are people that still thinks that nintendo games are for children, but it is not the general thought now. I know more people who have wiis than people who have PS3.
