What will be the final Metacritic score Average?

>94 14 9.66%

90-94 48 33.10%

85-89 68 46.90%

80-84 13 8.97%

75-79 0 0%

70-74 2 1.38%

<70 0 0%

Total:145

Lol at the over hype comments in here.
Yes I predicted 91 but if the game falls into 79-81 then a certain person/s will have a point.

Anyway, 87 is a great score but I still wished it's 91. lol.
Cannot wait to play the game and I hope Spidey will sell well.

Keep in mind I never said there a bad company, in fact I clearly stated there a good company. And I even mentioned before in this very thread that this is the best Spiderman game ever made.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't help them write grammatically correct sentences. :smh:

Not to overlook the complain of the game being exclusive and kept from other platforms even if it was 100% funded by a platform holder who also negotiated the IP licensing.

Similar words but the scores is all over the place. This is bullshit.

"Marvel’s Spider-Man is the best game you will play this year" - 100
DarkStation

"This feels like the most authentic Spider-Man game" - 90
The Daily Dot

"best Spider-Man game to date" - 80
We Got This Covered

"The best Spider-Man game ever made" - 70
Metro GameCentral

"This game shows tremendous love for all things Spider-Man" - 60
Guardian

Different people have different opinions and expectations. I wouldn't call it bullshit since none of us have played the game?

(Edit)

Someone already answered for me.

Wait.... So this is a bad game now cause its not in the 90s?

And what did Batman sell that this game supposedly can't outsell?

That last official update for Arkham Knight was 5 million back in October 2015 (~3 months after launch). This site has it around 6 million.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I have seen the videos. Spiderman is now my favorite ps4 game (after gta 5).

When they praise the game this much and the score doesn't reflect it, it is certainly strange.

It would probably make more sense if deskpro2k3 hadn't cut out critical parts of those reviewers' quotes.

"Despite a few missteps in its open world design, Insomniac Games has delivered on its promise. Needless to say, this is the best Spider-Man game to date." - 4/5

"The best Spider-Man game ever made… but only just, since it fails to move the superhero video game genre forward in any important way." - 7/10

"This game shows tremendous love for all things Spider-Man, and the ending packs a punch he would be proud of. But Insomniac relies too much on its hero to elevate the world built around him, with the result that the game wears thin some time before its powerful conclusion." - 3/5

When you look at the whole quotes, the attached review scores seem a lot more appropriate. If anything, the real problem is how poorly Metacritic handles review scores on the five-point scale.

Few missteps wouldn't justify 20% of the score being detracted, but then they have a poor 5 start system being counted the same as a 100 score.

Not moving the genre also doesn't justify 30% deduction or all games that doesn't revolutionize a genre they give bellow 70?

And taking out 40% of the score because the game AFTER FINISHED wears off is ludicrous. A 5 star system also didn't help.
