14.86m shipped.

So it seems like the big short position the investor has in place makes sense. Nintendo is going to have to sacrifice something to get to this 20m shipped number. We are looking at a 10-12 million Q3 number, that is going to require a huge inventory push (which will require retailers to take on all that extra inventory) and a price cut to push said inventory. The price cut will eat into the revenue forecast for this year or they will have to revisit the yearly target number if they can't ship that many consoles. I may be wrong but we'll see in about a year.

Not a surprise that sales have declined in the last quarter. There were no games that could sell consoles during that period.

On the other hand, I am very happy that DKC TF has had the sales it deserves (and this confirms my suspicion that the game was quite undertracked here). Zelda BOTW, Mario Odissey and Mario Kart continue to sell steadily,

Switch Friend Code = 5965 - 4586 - 6484

More evidence the 20 million is too optimistic. People were actually expecting vgchartz to be undertracking it's sales even in the last couple of weekly sales topics.

Those software numbers, Jesus.

Can't believe people thought Wii U ports were a bad idea. Odyssey is easily going to become the best selling 3D Mario game in history, same for Zelda. Spatoon is just...wow.

Things will be much more interesting the next couple of quarters, that's for sure.

Compaired to what?
"Last Quarter the PS4 sold 40.6 million units of PS4 software"

Nintendo Switch has been around like 2 years now, and its sitting at ~87m.
PS4 in 3months did half the total of the Switch? unless Im misunderstanding something here.

Switch is selling software, but not at a insane rate.
Hell even if you take  86,93m Software sales and divide that by the users 18.3m thats about 4.75 games pr switch owner.
And alot of these are small budget indie & A/AA type games.

Download only titles are not included on the figures.Plus he is talking about this quarter performance, not overall.

And was the PS4 doing similar numbers in its second year, during this period?Genuine question.I tried to look around, but a quick search led to nothing, and I dont have time right now to do a more through search.

PS4 Shipped 4M in FY15Q2 (there is the disalignment due to releasing in November instead of March but it was it's effective second Q2).

Total Sales 29.3M

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Well there's the cliff!
Anyone have regional breakdown?

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Yeah Nintendo isn't hitting 20m shipped.

Splatoon breakdown by region?
