Sounds likely that the GoW announcement has been pushed back. According to Kotaku.

Since the rumor of date haven't happened then we have a rumor of delay, they can never miss =p

I still fail to see why a blogpost would be delayed even more if all the alledged content is ready already.

Played through and completed Guardians of the Galaxy.. and I loved it. The characters in it are great as is the interactions between them. The story is decent too. The weakest parts is the gameplay; which is passable at best, and can get rather repetitive.. and for me was more of a means to get through the story. Apart from that really good imo, difficulty is about right and puzzles not too crazy or obnoxiously vague or annoying to break up the action.

Though there is some caveats.. one being how polished the game feels; which massively contrasts when there are bugs that occur, which does disjoint and spoil the experience somewhat. Sometimes the audio would cut out, you would get black screens in between, with 'time outs' or Peter/Starlord would get randomly stuck in objects in between controlling the character and jumping/flying into certain things. meaning I would have to restart from a previous checkpoint. And the other is the upgrade system, which too is a little basic and not really all that useful - only played on normal so harder difficulties ymmv.

Shame the game tanked in sales due to the poorly received Avengers games. Hoping we get a sequel from CD sooner rather than later, or never. Now started on playing GoT and I can already tell this is going to be an epic game lol.

Gameplay usually is repetitive, in this case perhaps they just weren't able to mix enough things and pace to have changes going back and forth on how you pass each segment.

But from your positive aspects it seems like a game that I need to give a try, and was already planning to. Thank you for giving your impression.

Without any info then could be like a hundred different reasons.

Maybe they've discovered a defect in the rumoured Thor hammer model. maybe the bonuses in the collector's edition have changed at the last minute. Maybe there is a delay to the game so marketing of these products also needs to change to reflect that.

It is what it is. There hasn't been any official communication that any announcement would come this week. So, no one should be expecting it.

Cory said there is no delay on the game.

Yeah it doesn't try and do too much. Plays a bit like a mix of Mass Effect and Tomb Raider only, that it relies a heavily on powers, and without the need for cover. Instead requires flow and movement and combat and move sets to counter enemy types... and thats totally fine. Its fun enough and works for the most part.

For sure, if you are interested in Marvel comics, games and movies then I'd highly recommend. Especially if you like the GoTG comics/movies. Genuinely funny quips and banter between the characters like you would expect and doesn't outplay itself. Its kind of a breathe of fresh air for highly polished AAA games in that its lighthearted action without going overboard.

Plus it has a seriously good soundtrack xD If you like songs from that era lol.

Soundtrack of the movie was great.

A few days internal delay still isn't a 'delay' as we have no official date.

The point is, anything could've happened. Or maybe the leaks were just wrong.

A delay is a delay. Unless he is spinning definitions to say "few days internal = nothing" which would be wrong.

I think it's pretty common for developers/publishers to pretend there weren't any delays because publicly they were still in the announced window.

If publicly, they said 2022, then there's no delay if it comes out December, even if internally it started out as being planned for March or something.

At least that's typically how they see it.

I mean, how else should it be interpreted? No developer is going to say there wasn't a delay and literally mean there we no internal delay. Whatever is happening behind the scenes internally at the development studio, and what is publicly available info are 2 different things.

I think it's a bit silly to take a public comment as referring to anything but public knowledge. As long as GoW hits 2022, then his Cory lying? of course not.

I would say that is a to open interpretation of "no delay". If he just wanted to mean the game will release in 2022, the precise way would say something like game is scheduled for 2022 or even still scheduled for 2022. There is no need to go further and claim no delay if there was an internal delay just because they didn't give a specific date.

Dude I'm still not done Elden Ring. I don't mind waiting 6+ months for God of War! (TO be clear I got the platinum on elden ring and beat it three times, working on 4, 5, and 6 now with my coop characters that I'm playing with different friend groups)
