 so it's more like 250 $/Euros.  I believe the inability to not have any DLC whatsoever is really why Arcade version fails to sell well in all regions.

U know people that love GTA4 are the same that play Madden or PES/FIFA or GT (here in PAL). They dont buy so much games, but they truly love some of them (GTA/PES/Madden/GT).

These guys are PS/PS2 lovers that want to get a PS3 because they dont believe in the Xbox360.

BUT

They dont have so much money, so if they can save money, they will do it.
AND
They dont care about online because some dont have computer/internet connection at home and they prefer play with their friend at home (like 80% of console gamers, see Wii success and her party games)

Of course, it needs heavy marketing support to change their PS3 corrupted minds ...

 generalization is never good, and frankly, considering how "well" Microsoft sold in PAL after a massive price cut, literally blowing Sony out of the water with its much cheaper price. I don't think your generalization really works here.

and I used "could be a perfect bundle for them." meaning this is a possibility, only a possiblity. I personnaly, dont think MS will succeed in. They can't, in 2 weeks, kill 12 years of marketing.

MS has problem in PAL because of the brandname.
People prefer PS3 over Xbox360 (including me). They dont hate Xbox but they prefer Playsation over it.

I don't think Microsoft fails in European market because of lack of brandname, it's really the lack of region centric games.

 I very much doubt it.  If Peter Moore were so damned good, the Dreamcast wouldn't have flopped.

I suppose you can balance the DLC against the Online stuff. GTA4 supposedly has a significant online component, and if you're not a hardcore gamer in terms of time (with work, I only have a chance to play video games one day a week, and it's usually not online play - so if I wanted to play a game online, I'd basically be paying $8 to play the game for a few hours with XBL).

Especially for something like GTA4 which is primarily an offline game with an online component, you're going to be spending most of your time on the offline campaign, and might toy around with the online stuff - but it's not going to be the primary mode of play until you finish the single-player missions. So, if you're buying the console primarily for GTA4, the PS3 is probably a better deal if money is an object (strange as that notion is), and 360 is better if cost is no object (the DLC may be expensive, nobody knows if it'll be worth it yet, and online will be expensive for how much it gets used).

We also don't know what the DLC is. If it's more maps, then it's a much bigger deal than if they just include more side missions. If it's just side missions, and the DLC is a timed exclusive, then I think people probably won't care about waiting it out - the single-player campaign in GTA is quite long, and they probably won't even be finished with the main missions by the time the DLC became available on all consoles.

PS3 version of GTA 4 will be the best version of the game and deserves to receive higher average scores than the 360 version of GTA 4. I am sick of 360 versions of the same game edging PS3 versions out by 1 to 2% every time.

It "deserves" to get higher scores? Why is that? because its the PS3?

@senatorpjt: yeah, in your case it might not sound like paying for XBL would make a good investment. For other people though who are already paying for XBL gold(to use with other games) there really isn't any extra cost (besides the actual DLC charge). For example, I already purchased a +year long membership, so buying GTAIV to play online has $0 extra cost for me, because I already paid for it(to use w/my other games)
