Forums - Sales - Japan Software Top 500 for 2007 (Media Create)

@ ioi

Is there a simiple way to do it? For most games, you'd have to find out how many weeks the game is out, in 2007, then match up the numbers. Is there a way to look at a games sales through a certain number of weeks. That'd be tons easier.

DMeisterJ, there are annual sales for Japan, so you can just open 2007 and compare them I think. I compared the first 20-30 and I didn't find any serious discrepancy, but that is hardly the whole list.

Model/2007 Sales/Total Sales
Playstation 3/1,184,114/1,641,671
20GB/247,831/416,222
60GB/615,025/904,191
Others/117,235/117,235

Interesting 20Gb Vs 60Gb split. I assume others were 60Gb bundles, I don't remember there being any 20Gb bundles, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I noticed. Thanks koffie, I'm a total idiot.

Does somebody (with a lot of time on their hands) fancy going through this and comparing to our data - see if there are any games we are massively different on (like more than 10%)?

Just looking at some of the niche PS3 games most are failry close.

PS3『Boku no Natsuyasumi 3』(SCE)  07/07/05 59,080

However,  Boku no Natsuyasumi 3 (My Summer Vacation 3) doesn't have any recorded sales.

Look Sony. People liked the 60 gb. A lot.

@ manuelf You realize that we are the tracking service that combines the two.
