Yeah come to think of it that is another significant point in Rare's favour for me.

Enguard the Swordfish, Winky the Frog, Rattly the Snake, Squitter the Spider, Ellie the Elephant... besides being cool characters in their own right they brought an extra dose of variety to the gameplay. It was a real shame Retro's games only featured Rambi.
