Forums - Nintendo - Damn...I am <---> this close to buying baroque

I think it sucked hard. Even for a dungeon crawler the game is pretty weak. The graphics are barelly above PSX level, the combat is awkward, the gameplay is repetitive and boring. The plot is a non factor. I have played it on the PS2, but the Wii version sounds like a total rip off. Rent first, it will save you 40 bucks.

I'd buy Baroque then get Okami next week. Okami has a better chance to stay in stores then an Atlus game.

Hmm, Baroque actually doesn't seem that bad after reading the RPGFan review. I'm still waiting on Gamespot or IGN thought.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

frustrating decision. Okami better get here soon, lest I accidentally buy Baroque while passing buy it in the store. reading the RPGfan review makes me want it more, and the possibility of it being hard to find later makes me question the soundness of mind in waiting.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I agree with Kasz216. It's an Atlus game, meaning you have about 3 days to find a copy before it disappears.

Hard to say.  Considering how low it scored.  It's possible.  I know MOST Atlus games are a real pain to find.  The only ones i've seen regularly avialable are Trauma Center games and Disgaea 2.

RPGs like this USUALLY see a short printing run with Atlus.  They just print enough to make a profit, and make sure they aren't taking a loss on product they can't sell, even if they leave a little money on the table.

Get Okami. Baroque had a lot of potential but didn't deliver, imo.
