Got a nasty surprise when I went to play Splatoon 2 a moment ago, being my Switch failing to power on. I have no idea what the cause is, was working fine just last night. I'm guessing there's no fix besides sending it in, so R.I.P. all my save data including nearly 1000 hours of Splatoon with tons of shiny/perfect gear, over 100 snails and 6 million in cash. Nintendo why must you also hurt me.
EDIT: Nevermind there actually is a fix! Holding the power button down for 15 seconds then pressing it again hard resets the system, which was apparently stuck in sleep mode. Sorry for whining preemptively!
