Bet it outsells God of War in Japan.  Both of them (along with a baseball game) are above it on Amazon Japan.

Thats what happens when you try something new right next to the street date of god of war and expect the kids to follow.

If Amazons top lists are any good indication is probably debatable.

In US Labo Variety Kit is the best selling game (After 3 PS Gift Cards) before GOW.

In UK Variety Kit is number 5 after GOW, FC5 and Spyro.

The Robot Kit is number 10 in Japan, 38 in US and 1545 in UK (not popular at all).

Thanks for the update. That's atleast some indication about possible sales. The only surprise about that is the Robot kit not doing that well. Maybe it appeals better as a holiday gift.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Pre-order news aren't good, but i don't see it being one of those "games" people rush to pre-order.

Not doing well at first and not doing well over time are two different things.
This is actually one of those things that can gain popularity. Although, if you ask me, i don't see it doing really well, or even on the long run. But that's me.

I'll wait for some actual numbers before saying anything else.

why would I spend more than 5 dollars on cardboard

How much should people pay for a puzzle set? For a trading card game? For a model airplane? For a monopoly board game? For a Lego set?

Your reasoning is absent here. Most of these products are very cheap to produce, and to not derive their value from the materials they are made of. This product is not for you. Get something that is - something that does not require much creativity.

This.

The product is getting GREAT reviews from people who have purchased the product. The only negativity is coming from individuals with no intention of purchasing

IMVHO it's both a toy and a game. Overpriced, because it's mostly minigames, and the toy part is cardboard, but the concept is very good.

I think the lack of social interaction with the finished product is the culprit.

On these day of Minecraft and Roblox, Viewing the creation is not enough and making a labo kit is also not as entertaining as watching someone make a minecraft castle. You have to be in it and play the whole thing. That's not a good platform to bet on. Not practical and not convenient for everyone.

If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p
