Forums - Gaming - 360 owners: Will you buy an Xmote?

360mote will be an epic fail or a modest success. There is no way this thing is gonna take off and kill the Wii by any means. Nintendo has the casuals.

On a side not, why doesn't MS think of something on their own? 5 bucks says they rip off of WiiFit too. The is worse then when Sony added duelshock after they realized what the N64 had going for it with the analog stick.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Gosh I find this annoying, wow M$ is soooo innovative, first we will copy the Dreamcast's controller design, now lets copy Nintendo's.

I can't believe I'm the only one to ask this:

How much does it cost or is it rumored to cost?

actually, I asked this in another thread.

probably around 90-100$ Like the guitar hero bundle.

Hmm, for 100 bucks. I think you should ask everyone on this thread again if they would pay 100 bucks for this thing?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

i would get the reason why the wii is doing so well is cause it is simple.too much buttons confuse normal people it is not for hardcore gamers it is for everyone

I'm sorry, but aren't hardcore gamers included in "everyone?"

Enough games for the Wii have poor controls, don't even want to imagine it when developpers are adding it in as an afterthought.

Do you mean things like achievements, Xbox Live Arcade, in-game dashboard, Xbox Live Marketplace, downloadable demos, gamercards, reputation, gamer zones, trueskill, friends list, cross-game voice chat, guide button, recent players list, Game with Fame, Xbox Live Community Games, etc?

If it is good I would buy it... But, that is a huge caveat.

I would buy it if they bring enough software that works with the remote.

I'm not to interested in the Wii-mote like I was a couple of months ago. So this Wii/X-mote thing is not appealing.

But if Microsoft does something awesome like with Halo Wars as rumored. Then I will check that object out.

But its only a rumor as of now :)

i have to agree with you. xbox live is as orginal as it gets, and i'm hoping sony and nintendo are learning a thing or 2 about xbox live, because THAT's the way to run an online service.

but you have to admit, this xmote thing, is a plain old rip off, i mean why would they need to rip it off anyway? sure, they want to capture a whole new audience, but didnt the buzz controller teach them a few lessons?

Wii and 360 owner here.

Ripoff or not, I'll buy one if the games are good.
