I really don't know what to think.

Part of me thinks that this is a horrible mistake, and part thinks it's a step in the right direction, and another part thinks that it's just a rumor.

I'm going to reserve judgment of calling this a failure or not for a while.

But how could it be a horrible mistake? At worst it doesn't improve sales.

Worse can and has happened due to things like this. *Sega CD and Sega 32X just called*

This will probably:

a) Make the Wii look even more appealing. It's already got this same control scene on a cheaper console with much better public reception.

b) Make the 360 look even worse for "copying" the Wiimote.

c) Alienate the 360's core fanbase.

Their source was Vgchartz, wtf.

I belive, personally, i dont like the wii console because of the games but the wiimote works well, especialy in a fps like metroid, so, wouldnt be great play in the all time called FPS/SHOOTERS console with the a motion controller?? it would be great, dont think just in banjo, halo wars. I would like to play cod, halo, gears and all those games with that thig.

Nintendo just did with the wiimote what microsoft did with the online gaming... perfection it. The didnt invent both things.

Banjo 3 is September sounds like great news to me. I hope Rare can deliver on this one. I think it's too soon for another Viva Pinata title however.

If it's true that he got this from good sources (as ioi said), maybe he doesn't want to say too much.

@ Starcraft

People could call them out for 'copying' the Wii-mote, or it could totally make Banjo and/or Halo Wars horrible to play, or anything. Or, it could exponentially improve both games... I just don't know.

Like starcraft said it will most likely have both control schemes in place, one for use with the "360mote" and one for the regular 360 controller.

Isn't that what Wii games do (sometimes) too? For example, I just bought Mario Kart Wii and I prefer playing it with the "classic controller", but my gf likes playing it with the "wii wheel", so we both can play it how we want to even though it is the same game.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

I'm happy to hear Rare is in another Viva Pinata...

I'm happy to hear that the 360mote would support Halo Wars...

I'm happy they are making the remote, for the odd game I think it would be suited for.

There's nothing wrong with people implementing the same idea on a different console to make money... Sony and Nintendo are all about money as well... Just ask the shareholders... Many of you seem to think that innovation happens on its own for no reason... Innovation happens because people want to make money.

Im just concerned about how this is going to fit with my 360. I've already got a wirelass lan adaptor which takes up one usb port at the back. I don't want a sensor bar wire coming out of the front of my xbox, and they will need a sensor bar.

Suppose they can just release a mini-hub.
