Ouch at those PS3 #'s. Isnt this meant to be Sony's stronghold?
Oh and great job IoI, this makes the site much more complete. Any plans to move on and make an Australasian section with Oceania and Asia (excl. Japan) in it? That and south america are the only other markets I can think of (and they are both fairly minor)

What I find amazing is how a 250 console is almost going toe-to-toe against a portable with arguably equal graphics yet costs 50% less... and doing so in "enemy territory"!
Didn't washimularry say the onslaught starts today?
yes I believe he did he also said that PS3 was outselling 360 by 100k units in Europe, and worldwide. Nice to see him proven wrong (again), but it's a shame he's not here to see it
Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Oh, he's looking alright - he just can't come back with his "witty retorts".
I understand it's only a week-long ban - can't wait to see what he will say to this...
Interesting to see how the handhelds are doing in Europe as a whole.
Since the start of April:
DS - 920k approx.
PSP - 510k approx.
Wii - 415k approx.
And the 360 and PS3 numbers are some bit smaller than these three. More facts to back my "handhelds vs console" theory.
I take it, the Wii sale numbers, basically means that around 415k were shipped and sold in Europe since the start of April, seeing as it's sold out everywhere. So, it makes me think that these numbers will not increase by much at all over the coming months.
Prediction (June 12th 2017)
Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.
PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)
PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)
Excellent work! Been looking forward to euro numbers. I wonder why Spain hates the 360 more than other regions.

Sorry for being slow...but what console and what handheld are you talking about. The only console close to 250 in Europe is the 360?

Sorry, my bad - missing a dollar sign. It should read:
"What I find amazing is how a $250 console is almost going toe-to-toe against a portable with arguably equal graphics yet costs 50% less... and doing so in 'enemy territory'!"
And what I meant by that is how the Wii is selling at about the same rate as the PSP. Not the total number of sales, but the current selling rate:
![]() | 70,696 | 8,107,681 |
![]() | 59,659 | 1,944,483 |
Just the bold numbers, I meant. And it is amazing that it's been repeatedly stated that Europe is Sony territory, which makes these numbers all the more impressive.
And ioi, I must admit, you have done a fantastic job with your site - I expected to be able to copy-and-paste just the numbers and the images would show up as html tags, not the images themselves!
Back at DavyGee: Do you by hand know if the PS3 can burn Blu-ray discs?
Edit: Re the numbers - to be fair, the PSP has been out far longer than the Wii, so its sales must have tapered off somewhat.
ioi, please fix this:
It's spelled Scandinavia, not Scandanavia
