What I find amazing is how a 250 console is almost going toe-to-toe against a portable with arguably equal graphics yet costs 50% less... and doing so in "enemy territory"!

Didn't washimularry say the onslaught starts today?

Sorry for being slow...but what console and what handheld are you talking about. The only console close to 250 in Europe is the 360?

Sorry, my bad - missing a dollar sign. It should read:

"What I find amazing is how a $250 console is almost going toe-to-toe against a portable with arguably equal graphics yet costs 50% less... and doing so in 'enemy territory'!"

And what I meant by that is how the Wii is selling at about the same rate as the PSP. Not the total number of sales, but the current selling rate:

70,6968,107,681
59,6591,944,483

Just the bold numbers, I meant. And it is amazing that it's been repeatedly stated that Europe is Sony territory, which makes these numbers all the more impressive.

And ioi, I must admit, you have done a fantastic job with your site - I expected to be able to copy-and-paste just the numbers and the images would show up as html tags, not the images themselves!

Back at DavyGee: Do you by hand know if the PS3 can burn Blu-ray discs?

Edit: Re the numbers - to be fair, the PSP has been out far longer than the Wii, so its sales must have tapered off somewhat.
