Just jumped from like 20 to 5 in Japan. The reviews are having an effect.

In India its number 1 which is very rare for full priced games.

USA number 1

Canada number 1

UK afk

France number 1

Germany number 4. Is that because they're charging 70 or god of war just not as popular in Germany?

Italy number 1.

Spain it jumped to number 1.

So this could well be Sonys biggest launch this gen. What's the target to beat, horizon or uncharted?

Uncharted 4 sold 2.7m launch week, Horizon sold 2.6m in first two weeks.

So Uncharted is the one to beat.

Uncharted 4-2.7 million, 1 week

Horizon-2.6 million, 2 weeks

 

God of War looks to have the biggest debut in America but historically GoW sells about twice as much in America than it does in Europe while Uncharted in pretty even in both regions so it might not take the WW win.

If it's only NPD... I think it's Uncharted 4.

In Playstation history... it's probably God of War 3.



If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p

I'd say looking at historical data for the series for this entry would be a mistake though, considering the massive shift for the series.

And its about Norse-mythology.... common we re all suckers for that stuff here :)

Thats true, it could perform much better in Europe compared to previous entries.

Thats awesome, do you happen to know the previous record for PS4 exclusive? Is it Uncharted 4?

 

Edit: From Uncharted 4 wiki, "The game sold more than 2.7 million copies worldwide in the first week after its release, and became the fastest-selling game developed by a first-party Sony studio for the PlayStation 4 in the PAL region and North America."

 

NPD had it at 828k, i believe thats 3 weeks of sales though.

With bundle it did 879k.

I believe GOW4 has a chance to do close to 1.2-1.5 million, because NPD numbers does include digital now and i'm pretty sure Uncharted 4 did well over his retail numbers.
