Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

So, it's the end of April

Ohhh, I'm looking forward to this.

SmeagsNeedsBanning 2018

First you ask for new mods on April 1st, yeah right... Damn I wish I had seen this thread on April 1st, I would have applied with the most crazy and outrageous application you'd ever see.

Second, you do need new mods eventually so I hope you get people that do not hold grudges against other people and therefore could abuse their position. I have personally had convos here and seen replies to my posts which, had that person been a mod or will that person be a mod eventually, I totally can see myself being perma-banned one morning out of the blue and without any appeal cause some people can hate you with a passion, especially when you deconstructed their arguments like you'd do a threadbare piece of cloth.

Third, I have been wondering how do you balance being a moderator and having opinions? I noticed mods don't get very passionate about their opinions, they almost stay out of having strong opinions and it gives a sense of neutrality which has its advantages of course but you still are humans with opinions aren't you? Which makes me sometimes wonder and suspect that moderators are bots...

EDIT: Why does it say announcement 2/2, what was announcement 1/2?

Another Bump.

Still working on things, everyone. Miguel's had some stuff going on the last few weeks and that is something that none of us could help. I anticipate this week for action, though. Just hang on a little longer!

No worries. In April I've told everyone who asked me if the mod team can meet the deadline that it's not going to happen because the mod team never meets the deadline. You are right on schedule.

You would argue they could use some austrian pünktlichkeit

Aside from new mods i think the team needs to start get a bit more strickt on the generalisation of claims as if made by a whole userbase and sneaky bait posts

No worse than using terms like 'butthurt'. ;)

Should have atleast been a warning just like have a seat or calm your tits, or stop doing a quickrick.

Edit actually that butthurt refers to being mad, angry, triggered in a question not a statement so it is worse!

Im quite sober, now but i just realised why would one happening not excuse the other? i dont see how me using the word butthurt makes the other thing actually valid.

thats like saying a guy stole a million bucks.
and on a different day someone else kills people and says but hey that guy stole a million bucks he is bad aswell.

this is in no way a admittance of that butthurt was wrong.
