Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4: GOW Reviews Coming April 12th.

This definitely seems to indicate a high level of confidence from Sony and SSM. I didn’t think review embargos lifted this early anymore. When was the last time reviews were allowed to be released a whole 7-8 days early for a game?

I think Horizon's embargo was also lifted about a week early.

can't wait🙌

Wonder if their embargodate is wrong as well?

I bet the embargo lifts on the 13th. It would be weird for it to go up 8 days before launch.

Checked it, it's correct. April 12th at 00:01 (24 hour clock)

AHA in your face Bethesda...
For those who wonder what I mean, I'm referring to Bethesda's decision that their future games will not be sent for review prior to actual release dates. Which is bad for consumers that may buy day one and get a bad game without the possibility of seeing a review on time.

People still buy Bethesda games full of bugs =p

This definitely sounds like a great sign. It's the same with movies where people assume that studios have confidence in their movies if they are given to critics early.

I really want a 95+ so GOW1 is no longer the highest meta in the franchise when both GOW2 and 3 easily eclipsed its quality. Sony dropping embargo this early gives me some confidence that might actually happen. Low 90's is starting to look like a worst case scenario.
