The minimal hardware push? thats me, from this thread, PS4 doesnt look like score wise it jumped all that (today) vs say a week ago.
But on youtube/twitter? idono feels like alot of people have said "time to get a ps4" ect about god of war.
I just expected there would be a decent increase in sales in the US too.

It has still got a whole full week though......but since it comes not too far from what has turned out to be a significant push from MHW, personally, I dont expect much of a push as well.

PS4 should be reaching saturation point already. It is not likely there are many new PS4 converts at this point. Probably replacements and Upgrades.

Nonsense? There is no way that NPD tracks 90% of all stores, that is way too expensive. Like all statisticians, they use samples and through a certain methodology they convert these samples into a sales estimate. I am not saying they provide inaccurate numbers.

NPD is the most accurate 'estimation' that we have available hence the final authority on the real figures. I believe you are not asking that we need a Sharman to divine what the 100% accurate figures are ?

Oh, I agree that NPD is the most accurate by far. But I find it a bit odd to estimate an estimation. Why don't you begin your own sales tracking methodology of the US gaming market? More competition is always good for an industry :P

The capital and expertise to do what you suggest should certainly not be expected from a forum like this. More importantly it doesnt track NPD but only uses it to validate its own findings being the currently most accurate tracker.

Very innovative piece of work from the lads I have to say despite its accuracy being doubtful but expect no complaints on that until it makes a wrong prediction. This is only its first prediction.

Interesting, Switch is #1 on Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Wal Mart yet overall #3. So Amazon isn't as biased towards Nintendo as people think... If Switch had 3-5 skus per website like PS4 and XB1, the rankings would look different IMO 

Precisly what some of us pointed out on the Amazon thread , it however didnt fit the narrative of the  'Nintendo bias' at Amazon that some were interested in propagating.

This thread is however a good outcome of it all as it gives more visibility to other sources.

As expected, data can't be used like this (even if we have to keep in mind that we had only one week of data for march) so I will start twisting things a bit soon (Real life is busy right now...).

We have to adjust things so that march points come closer to NPD results and I will then apply the changes to April data.
