Because we love power... power gives us the feeling to be in control of things... when you hit someone you have power over them... you can´t make poeple like you, love you or think the way you do... but you can make them pay for it if they don´t... when you hit someone they fear you... fear is respect... we all want to be respected in some way... I know I´m can be a pretty dark person sometimes... but thats the way things are...

My view, is no he doesn't, but he has every right to block the attack in self defense. If the girl continues the attack, then, and only then, do I believe that it is ok for the guy to restrain her by many means (no breaking the law).

 I don't believe I'm old enough to be send to such a place. So, I can't say I've experienced it personally, but we do have our fantastic TV to thank for... as well as the power of imagination. ;)
