These categories are all common tropes that appear in every single Pokemon game. Each round will be selected at Random until all 20 rounds are played.

disagree. Tate and Liza is the easiest gym battle in 4 out of the 5 games they appear in.

Did they make them harder in Emerald? I remember them as the hardest gym leaders in the game.

They were made much tougher in emerald. In ruby and sapphire and ORAS you can one shot them with a strong enough water type that knows surf. Hell, just use a team of 2 water types that each know surf and you'll beat them in 1 turn for sure. In emerald they were definitely hard.
