They can already ask to show hair to determine hair color, and by all accounts a cop should know this.
A mug shot is for identification, i.e. your face should be seen. You shouldn't be passing more laws, you should train your cops better.

This is an abuse of courts, public safety comes before any right to use a mask or any other concealing of face. One can keep its face covered at home.

Do as we want you to. Shut up. Don't complain. And take off those "oppressive" garments that you want to wear. Want to cover up your body? Fuck you. You have no right. We don't tolerate oppressive behaviour here. 

unless it was the ninja hijab, i can see your point, but you can tell somebody face clearly with regular hijab on. anyway lucky them, what a come up.

I'll create my religion where one must use ski mask and helmet when on the street, I bet I'll get a lot of followers.

Burka is also a religious garment and it covers up much of the face... and guess what, when you don't have your full head exposed it is a lot harder to really distinguish the person.

i mean you can say the same thing for someone with  a beard, or cutting there hair bold. face should be enough to identify a person, should someone  who has a big beard or long hair have to shave.

not hard to  distinguish  at all. now on the ninja hijab, that of course, can't be allowed, because you can't tell who the person is.

If you present an id and can't be recognizable (be it because of beard) you may be refused when coming to a different country or be conducted to precinct to clarify who you are.

like i said normal hijab is easily recognizable, i don't agree with the ninja hijab though because its hides the person identity, honestly it even bothers many muslims i know.   

They all enter the religious freedom. So they can use it if they want. So?

And seem like you never seem how easy is to confuse someone just by wearing a cap and glasses, to say a common hijab can't deceive normal look out. If it didn't impair the recognition no one would be demanded to take the mugshots without it.
