Tecmo worked on OM not Namco, the flaws in OM were also Sakamoto's fault not Tecmo's.

It was Tecmo? I always thought it was Namco. Oh, well, that's something I learned today.

And yeah Sakamoto was the main culprit of OM failures.

Team Ninja are Tecmo, Sakamoto's is the main culprit for sure that game itself is a decent but heavily flawed one because of his involvement, for example TN wanted to use the nunchuck for movement but Sakamoto for some reason wanted the d-pad making the switch from third person to first more tedious.

It's a shame because the approach has a lot of potential even more than the Prime games as at times OM did recreate the gameplay of the 2d games in 3d and had some entertaining moments like the Nightmare Battle but Sakamoto had an off day sadly. Will like to see the approach return and built on with the flaws ironed out.

I honestly think an external team would be a better fit for MP4 than Nintendo's own studios, as Retro aside, none of them really have experience in making a more serious sci-fi game.

would be time for a new ridge racer

Ridge Racer is actually very plausible to be exclusive. I believe 5 was a 360 exclusive.

Also Metroid Prime 4 being made by Namco is also very believable. They made Smash 4 and Star Fox Assault. I don;t see any red flags with this rumor.

(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

I could see more and more (mostly) PS exclusive titles coming to the Switch. It's only logical.

works both ways. that is logical yeah.

Yeah totally. Like.. Inazuma Eleven.

Well DQ and MH are back on PS, even with Nintendo doing western publishing off those titles for a good few years.

But sure Inazuma Eleven too.

Those games were always on both systems, at one point or another. Nintendo still has both tbh, especially DQ.

Oh yeah, forgot Yokai Watch! Here's hoping right?

So what's your point? Ridge Racer has been with Nintendo since the N64.

Yes it is. But Ridge Racer typically has been a PS associated franchise. It was a launch game on almost every PS system. The only time I can think of that takes away from that was the 360 game. My point is that it's a surprising move.

I suppose RR 64 (2000), RR DS (2004) and RR 3DS (2011) dont count?

Well most RR games were on Playstation this is not even a question. But if we are including handhelds, the PSP had two games and the Vita had a RR game at launch.

Talking about Ridge Racer games that wasnt on PS platforms:

-Ridge Racer 64

-Ridge Racer DS

-Ridge Racer 3DS

-Ridge Racer Unbounded (PCS360)

-Ridge Racer 6 (360 exclusive)

-Ridge Racer Slipstream (Android/iOS)
