All green for Kirby, down one spot in Japan because of the switch. Beast mode incoming... Will it make it to number 1?

What are SLU and IR?

Indeed SLU since last update and IR initial rank (the first time I dit it)

I hope so ! Kirby deserve much more love.

I really like how you did your chart btw.

Indeed. Thanks. There seems to be a debate about the initials used in the columns. You guys figured them right

Switch is still taking the entire top 5 of "Most wanted" on amazon US. That's maybe a sign that even with no big announcements the console still has a lot of potential buyers.

It's looking good for sure. I hope people go passed the cartoony vibes and actually try the game. Hopefully a demo will come out soon.

Kirby, which comes out 16th of March ranked in the top of best selling games since January. It doesn't mean much really.

PS: But God of War will do record-breaking numbers for the franchise, regardless of what it does on Amazon.

You’re right - it doesn’t mean much. Otherwise, GTAV would never chart in NPD.

Exactly. Btw, a bit off topic, but I got a feeling that GTA VI will be announced next year (2019) and then be ported to next gen consoles in 2020, or 2021. I think RockStar/TakeTwo are pretty happy with this scheme where they get to release it on 5 systems and sustain sales for the whole generation.

That's actually pretty encouraging news. Good to hear. With Labo and Hyrule Warriors coming in April, I think Switch will start to pull monster numbers.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

MHW still #1 in Japan. Surely it won't last much longer?

You’re right, it won’t. Kirby is coming out in 2 weeks.

Here's the final update to the monthly rankings (9 days since last update):

Nintendo Switch (neon): #18 (↓3)
Nintendo Switch (grey): #24 (↓3)
PS4 Slim 1TB standalone: #38 (↑6)
SNES Classic: #42 (↓2)
XBO S 500GB standalone: #59† (↓8)
Xbox One X: #61 (↑9)
PS4 Pro: #64 (↑8)
XBO S 500GB Minecraft bundle: #91 (re-entry)
PS4 Pro 1TB Battlefront II bundle: #96 (re-entry)

So the monthly ranking wasn't quite as kind to Xbone as some thought they would be.  Now to wait for NPD.
