I'm sorry, but people that say "Oh I thought racism wasn't so bad anymore" are terribly, terribly naive; either in this thread or others with a similar subject.

Still it's a disgusting story.

I don't understand why today there are a lot of threads about racism. Is today the worldwide day against racism?

ive been posting on yahooanswers topics about racism to get every1 opinions on it and stuff. its really interesting and im thinking of doing it for my english speech

Well, he's sure not going to get any flame comments from me, cause he's right. It's not pretty, but it's true. There are areas where a vast majority of a certain ethnic group causes a lot of trouble. It's not cost effective to go through and individually identify every single troublemaker. If you happen to have 10 fights break out because of one ethnic group and only 2 fights break out with all the other ethnic group, and you say to yourself "Geeze, this needs to stop, but how can I?" Barring that ethnic group comes out as an ugly, but effective method.

I think this comic describes it pretty well actually. It would be great if we judged every single person in the world on their own individual merit, and I try to do that myself, but if I need to make a judgement call without any other evidence about an individual, I'm going to have to pull on what knowledge I do have, and that often is going to have to include skin color, simply because it is instantly identifiable.

The bouncers are just doing their jobs, its the owner whose responsible I bet.

 White people cause wars? You think that kind of racism is just fine? WW1 and 2 were also ended by alot of white people, but alot of courageous people from all nationalities helped fight the good fight in that one. No one told the Japanese they had to invade Pearl Harbour. Brave people helped preserve South Korea's democracy, was that a bad thing? I knew from that comment alone you had to be in University right now, as every one of them seems to have a couple professors who spew out that kind of reverse racism garbage and have free reign to do so. And while doing so they always manage to convince a few weak minded people who will actually listen to them. Alot of nations have wars, alot of nations start them, white or otherwise. 

As for being happy for not living here in "redneckville" Calgary, we're happy not to have you. We were just voted the cleanest city in the world by Forbes.com as well as a Mercer Quality of Living survey. #1 in both. Calgary and Alberta also help drive the Canadian economy, pay out billions per year in transfer payments, and do it all with a disgustingly low level of representantion based on our population and the positive impact we have on this country. Calgary has done alot more for this country lately then the New York in it's own mind city of Toronto has.
