Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4/XBO/NS - 2017 vs. 2018: Final Results!!!

June 16th/Post E3 Numbers have been added.

Looks like Switch can be leading by over 1M in 2 weeks

That’s quite the information list! Great work!

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

The fiscal year of Nintendo starts on April 1st.
They targeted 20M shipped from April 1st 2018 to April 1st 2019.
They might even reach this in «sold» unit... Numbers from April 1st 2018 outsell by a good margin numbers from April 1st 2017.

The latest hardware numbers have been added.
The Switch has now passed the 5 million mark in 2018 on it's 25th week, just before the midway point. For comparison's sake, the Switch didn't pass 5 million in 2017 until its 32nd week in mid-August. And it continues to build its lead over 2017, with the next update, its lead should be back over 1 million.

The Xbox One continues to slow but surely build its lead over last year. Meanwhile, the PS4 continues to lag further and further behind. In the next update, it's deficit will be over 800k.

There is a mistake in the list of numbers, I know because I was checking all of them just today :

Nintendo Switch: 2017 vs. 2018 :
week 14 / 2018 weekly : the value is 176,276 instead of 188,276

Mistake corrected.

Thanks to the mistake Amnesia pointed out, instead of cracking 5 million this week, the Switch was juuuuust a little bit below the mark. That milestone will be saved for the next update instead.

Thank you for your hard work.  I am really enjoying this thread.
