Well this puzzles me then. Why not get a Switch, Play Odyssey and BOTW on it, then you would be in a far better position to judge the Switch? If you love Mario i guarantee you will be blown away by Odyssey.

No. I didn't say they were wildly different. My point was, as we have already established, Smash sells slightly better than 3d Mario. As for AC, i've no idea why you think it shouldn't be in the same sentence. Your ignorance of the franchise maybe? The fact is, sales of 3D Mario and AC are pretty much on par. A few 3d Marios beat AC sales-wise but a few don't. It would just be conjecture to try and say which will sell the most this gen but it's clear you have underestimated AC. It is a sales monster in its own right. 

Nintendo should be proud of the switch sales, in every region! Just waiting for a price drop before I grab one, fingers crossed its soon

But that's a point, Nintendo around last 5 years is not popular in UK like it is in other European countries. UK is only market currently from big European countries where Switch is not best selling console ever or best selling Nintendo console.

well we really haven't established this, like i said before mario had two 3d games selling over 20 million, on wii, so thats' not a fair comparison, if 2 smash games came out on wii, smash would have sold as much as mario galaxy, which are very close to each other in sales, then the wiiu, and 3ds comparison, the comparison is unfair, i guess, the only clear cut winner is GC is. as for AC, in 13 years it only had one amazing selling game, it need to have more then that be mentioned in the same light as 3d mario. 3d mario is 65 million units sold vs 32 million for animal crossing, how can you out them in the same light, and they both have 6 game released, i'm not even counting  mario odyssey.

There are not 6 AC games, there are 4.

Of those 4 titles, 2 were on home consoles while 2 were on handhelds.

The 2 on home consoles sold like 3-4 million.

The 2 on handhelds sold over 11 million.

When AC can be played on the go, it does similar to 3D Mario.

Hang on, you are..... adding the sales of 2 games together...? That is literally NOT how it works! Seriously, to prove your point you are adding the sales of 2 entirely different entries together? That's extreme cherry picking! Like we already told you, on a like for like scenario smash will more often than not, outsell 3D Mario. As for Animal Crossing, as this is purely about sales then yes it is on a par with Mario. In probably all other metrics tho it isn't as important but this was specifically about  sales. Anyway, as someone has already said, this has gone way off-topic. If anyone wants to discuss it further i suppose i can make a post.
