Might be the best case of Goal Post movement I've ever seen on this site.

What am I moving, exactly? a similar % increase should be expected.

PS4 Pro.

If millions aren't big, then 300K isn't either. Not Rocket Science. But, feel free to continue to make excuses for just how bad this idea is.

I tried that ages ago.

Where did this "millions aren't big" come from? And if something is -300k when it should have been + 1-2m, that's a 1.3-2.3m of difference.

Seems like we are all ignoring sound arguments he made.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Perhaps you should re-read everything you've tried to argue against, in this regard. It would shed some light on your predicament.

All I'm gonna do is bookmark this thread.

What's more fascinating - selling millions more than a previous year isn't notable, but selling 300K less, in one part of the year, is.

It is. One would expect the best period of the year to also be up by a similar margin as the other 9 months.

That doesn't make any sense.  I think that you're just trying to make an ant hill seem like a mountain. The ps4 is up YOY and it is it's best year so far this gen.

I'm ignoring no reality: a sale is a sale.

In that case, if pre-installed games on a copy of Windows OS are removed, that is a shrinkage, yes.

Btw, PC gaming and console gaming are not the same thing.

How can you say that they weren't interested in gaming and in the same paragraph say they played some type of games? If they weren't interested in gaming, why would they play games at all?

You're going against your own word at this point.

Man you really have some hard time grasping the concept.

Will say once again, won't keep discussing this fruitless argument with you... if you think the gaming market is dying all power to you.

I think you're the one who's having a hard time grasping what I'm saying:

The console market and the gaming market are NOT the same thing. I trust you understand the difference.

Ah, revelations, revelations!

Very few people would make posts like that, was the hunt fun?

Sure they aren't the same thing, ok then. If you think console is dying all the power to you.

The good part about December being low is that Sony may consider making the pricecut permanent and PS4 may be higher YOY... because if it have done 22M in 2017 it would be very very difficult to outdo it.

I wouldn't use the word "dying", I'm just pointing out to the posters below and others that PS4/X1/WiiU is likely down launch-aligned compared to PS3/360/Wii.

The WiiU collapsed and died and the X1 is down compared to the 360 according to http://www.vgchartz.com/article/271185/xbox-one-vs-xbox-360vgchartz-gap-chartsnovember-2017-update/ .

If my math is right, launch-aligned, the PS4 is ahead of the PS3 by about 22 million. Impressive but not enough to make up the fall from the WiiU and X1.

100 million will be easy. Remembering when people said consoles are on the decline xD

LOL, I remember a few "Well, if this how bad the Wii U is doing, just imagine how bad the PS4/XBO will do" comments back in 2012/early 2013. How things change.

Penny for your thoughts?
