Hundreds if not thousands of years apart.

Certainly nothing [BREAKING] about it. And the only ones who could answer whether or not the world of FF VII and X are the same are either Nomura or Sakaguchi, who created the story of VII. 

That was confirmed years ago. Like over a decade. Shinra from FFX is the founder of FF7 Shinra power corp.

Nope. It was confirmed in the Final Fantasy X Ultimania. Released in 2006 I believe.

Those books are fan fiction quality at best.
