Spider-Man is on your list? Am I misremembering the graphics in that game from when they showed it at E3? I mean I recall it looking like a nice open world game, but.....a best graphics contender? I must have missed something.

You did.

I just rewatched the gameplay footage. Can't say I really see what you're seeing. That's not to say it doesn't look nice or anything, but I don't see anything that makes me go wow either. Which, if we're talking best graphics.....wow factor is really the only thing I'm looking for.

I'm not really understanding what you're trying to perpetuate here. What we have in the OP is just a slice of the games that are in this year's list. If you don't agree with Spider-Man's inclusion,  that's fine. However, the general consensus is that the graphics are top notch and I agree. 

@ Machina - That'll be added in just a sec, as I've just gotten around to it and the visuals have been praised all over the place. Thankfully, it's not a Remaster, or it wouldn't work!

Well I was just throwing in my 2 cents about the game, and then you made it out like I was trying to force you to take it off your list or something. Surely I don't have to write "in my opinion, it's my opinion that blablabla..." right?

I don't feel forced, but you certainly implied that Spider-Man didn't belong there. It's fine if that wasn't your intention and I misread, but that is how I initially read it. 

Well ya. In my opinion, looking at your list, Spider-Man jumped out at me as somewhat out of place. That's not to say you - or others - can't call me crazy or whatever for thinking that, but if I were making a list of early candidates, I wouldn't have thought about Spider-Man. We don't all have to agree with each other.

There are a lot of games that are going to look great releasing in 2018! From RDR2, Days Gone, Anthem to Far Cry 5, Skull & Bones, Yakuza 6 (if it counts) and Ghost of Tsushima.

So you have not seen Naruto Ultimate Ninja  Storm 4? That looks as identical to the anime... hell even better.

I have to politely disagree.

What i find so facinating about DBFZs shader is how well it holds up in motion.

Narutos shader looks really nice in stills, but doesn't really hold up that well in motion it definitely doesn't look identical to the anime and imho it doesn't look better either, but that is really getting into personal preference.

There's no way Ghost of Tsushima releases this year.

Don't destroy a man's hope like that! They have not given release dates for the games I mentioned by the have given vague windows all around 2018, so we'll see.
