Forums - Gaming - Why Sega should also use a M68000 Processor for Dreamcast 2

First thought that came to my mind when I first entered this thread was: "For christ sake, not again.".

Props to the Op for having a sense of humor. Haha

Wow, that is powerful.

I cannot even imagine what two of them in one box could do.

90% more furry porn.

~20 years of technological growth and Sega cannot even double their FPS, pathetic.
Sega should just go third party already.

pfft the day SEGA goes third party is the day Nintendo releases a purple lunchbox witha handle and calls it a game console. It will never happen!

Nintendo's handhelds sell really well.
Nintendo's handhelds are king.

Nintendo will release a handheld console and Sega will be forced to produce exclusive games for it.
Sega is doomed to a third party hell.

What are they going to do? Make a better SEGA Nomad and actually be successful and call it something silly like a Switch? I doubt that sir!

Dreamcast 2 just isn’t happening - ever.

Let it go.

Using the 68000 processor in the new Dreamcast would be dangerous with all this blast processing: think of the blast shockwaves colliding and rattling the console to such a point that the m.2 card it's gonna use for game media will fly in people's faces and cut them.

I don't know: Switch sounds like a really dumb name.
Nintendo is much more creative than that.

Personally, I would put my money on GameSlate.
Just from the name you understand everything required to make the purchase.
It plays games, it is a slate.
The ads write themselves.

Using the 68000 is overkill, 6502A is where its at but no more than 1mhz. Should help keep manufacturing costs reasonable. Still a huge number of Tamagotchi's still sold using the chip so should be widely available.

Keep the joysticks super simple too no need to over-complicate the design. Making use of nearby flat surfaces will reduce the use of plastic.

2 buttons? That's too many buttons!

Extra graphics for everyone!
