Forums - Sony - Sony Wants To Know Why You're Hacking Your PSP

PSP porn is a fantastic idea ;) If you dissagree your breaking your vows as a male >:( Put porn on anything you damn well can XD THEN attempt to hide it from the misses :D (or don't if you guys have a healthy relationship ;) ).

My biggest reason for pirating would be to demo games and or to use the downloaded version as the main play and keep the purchased UMD as proof of ownership. My ex girlfriend has a DS and she's got hundreds of pirated games, which is fine, because 95% of the games she has on there are literally garbage, that would have been thousands of dollars of software that no one wants. They need to push the Demo scene much harder, people like hands on when they're considering a purchase.

The PSP makes for a great SNES emulator.

Hacking my psp make me feel like a rebel...They created this option for me =p.

-and that's why mine is hacked.

Seriously, is it so difficult to make an open platform?  Pirates are going to find ways to get games for free anyways, so you might as well make it easier for the homebrew people to use their own software...

I know 3 people with PSPs. Only 1 of them has ever purchased games for it. The other two use it exclusively for hardcore pornography. I am surprised that didn't show up in the poll.

You honestly need better friends. :)

Not friends, just coworkers. Apparently being married with young children creates a void that can only be filled with portable smut.

Maybe you should introduce them to 'laptop's. porn on PSP is just WRONG. :(

Agreed ... what if somebody wants to borrow it :?

I wouldn't lend anyone my PSP before it had Porn on it, you kidding. And if someone just wanted to use it to check out one of my games and had a problem with porn (not that any of my friends do), I'd just take out the memory card.

What if a small kid wanted your PSP for LocoRoco and you just played with your ... thing . Now thats just discusting :P

These questions are so badly phrased. It won't help them at all.

I do homebrew and purchase games for my PSP all the time. I just like the fact that I can play oldschool snes, gba, genesis, ps1, etc games on the road. I own all of the games that I have ported to my PSP and love it for the convienence of it.

This has got to be fake. Those are exactly the questions I would come up with if I were doing a satire of Sony's views on this. "Because it makes me feel like a rebel"? "Because it impresses others?" "Because I like to outsmart the developers?" Christ, this is gold. It sounds like a vice principal trying to intimidate a detention student during an interrogation, or one of those mythbusting anti-drug surveys. The whole bloody thing is written to make the read feel stupid or vaguely threatened. "I won't get caught?" "It's worth the legal risks?" Never mind that hacking your PSP isn't illegal -- not even a little bit.

Here's the only response needed: "I can do more with a hacked PSP than an unhacked PSP." The homebrew community can put far out more content than Sony's little team of software engineers every could. It's as simple as that.

When you sit at someone's computer, eat off of someone's dining room table, ride in the back of someone's car, etc etc you never know what has occurred in those areas.   It is better not to think of such thing and it is always good to wash your hands.  Kids are going to discover porn somehow or another.  Whether it is the internet, your old VCR, your PSP, or their friend's father's magazine collection, they will see it.

I didn't mean to completely jack this thread, sorry everyone!

Hmmm, they could have included the whole shorter load times and longer battery life thing. Never hacked mine but that always struck me as being a tempting reason to do it. Maybe they left it off the survey to try not to encourage people to do it.
