It won't fail... the most it can happen is it being 3rd place this NPD.

I just hope this switch craze is over. Knowing Nintendo only has a couple more tricks up their sleeves, this could be the case.

Maybe, just maybe, Nintendo exclusives are worth the purchase of a Switch.  So this "craze" you speak of is probably what gamers naturally do is game.  Is this the sort of "craze" you want to end?

NS/XBO/PS4

andyy

The results are going to be the same as November.

PS4 will continue to remain the sales juggernaut it always was.
Xbox One, with its amazing deals and American appeal, will come in second.
Switch due to its high price will be third.

PS4 > NSW > X1

i'm not sure the point of this thread is. when there will be prediction thread.

XBO was also $189, And didn’t sell out almost instantaneously like the $199 PS4 did, so I imagine that helped bolster its numbers for the last week of the month. There was of course also the X release, which I doubt it made up more than 50% of Xbox hardware sales, but new hardware + strong marketing campaign will definitely have a large impact.

If Sony drops the price of PS4 again, along with the confirmed Pro price drops, I think there’s a good chance they’ll come out on top. I don’t think X will sell as well in December as it did at launch. We’ll see though. Honestly wasn’t expecting Switch to be so low by comparison in November, so I guess anything can happen lol

X1X counted for 450k of the estimated 1350k of X1 on November... So X1 should do over 1M in December as well.

I think it’s fair to say that PS4 won’t be any slouch either. If it sold over 1.6 million in November, there’s no reason it won’t sell well over 1 million.

Probably all consoles will sell between 1 and 1.5M with the gap between 1 and 3 being likely lower than 300k.

I just hope Nintendo Switch fails. I'm sorry but two good games and everything else is bad should not warrant a somewhat pricy console.

Its OK if you want some console to fail, but you cant say that "two good games and everything else is bad" beacuse fact is that isnt true, Switch has great concept, and has two one of best games ever and much more good games.

I'm not really sure the Switch is going to be a sales beast akin to the Wii or DS. The 10 million in 9 months is normal for a Nintendo handheld, the 3DS did it, the GBA did it. So maybe not relative to other Nintendo handhelds, but then consider Nintendo handhelds are inherently sales beasts anyway so expect another 80-90 million seller regardless.

Actualy Switch is seling better than 3DS for same time period with huge strock problems most of the time while 3DS needed to have huge price drop in order start selling and didnt had any stock problems, GBA also had much lower price point and I dont think it had any stock problems.
